University District Rotary Scholarship Application for Fall 2025


This application is for adults applying for the University District Rotary Scholarship for a UW Professional & Continuing Education certificate program that starts in fall 2025. This opportunity is open to all eligible persons regardless of race, sex or other identity.


Your application will be shared with employees of UW Continuum College and the University District Rotary Club Scholarship Committee. It will be reviewed confidentially.


The application includes questions about yourself, your career goals and why this scholarship would benefit you. You'll need to submit a copy of your resume.


To verify your financial eligibility, you must submit a copy of your most recent Federal tax return (Form 1040). If you have filed your return this year, please submit your 2024 Federal Tax Return. If you haven't yet filed, you may submit your 2023 Federal Tax Return. Please blank out your social security number and your partner’s details.


You cannot "save" your application while working on it. You may prefer to draft your responses separately and copy them into the form when you are ready to submit your application.


Scholarship application deadline: Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM. (Pacific Time).

Eligibility Criteria

This opportunity is open to all eligible persons regardless of race, sex or other identity. To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be living in Washington state
  • Apply and be accepted to one of the eligible certificate programs listed on our website (New applicants only, current/continuing students are not eligible.)
  • Not exceed the household income limits listed in the table on our website
  • Not have access to financial assistance from your employer to pay for your program
  • Not have been a part- or full-time student in 12 months prior to the start of your program (unless taking prerequisite courses)
  • Be willing to be interviewed via Zoom, if requested
  • Be willing to attend an in-person University District Rotary Club meeting on May 30, 2025
  • Not be a Rotary member, a UW Continuum College employee or an immediate family member thereof

Award Conditions

  • Scholarship decisions are made by the University District Rotary Club Scholarship Committee. All decisions are final.
  • Scholarship awards cannot be deferred and are not transferable to other certificate programs.
  • One scholarship application per certificate program. Multiple applications are not accepted.
  • Scholarship awards are contingent on acceptance into your chosen certificate program. Be sure that you meet your program's eligibility requirements.
  • Scholarship recipients must successfully complete each course in their certificate program to receive the scholarship award for the remaining courses.
  • Scholarship recipients cannot be enrolled in other UW programs while completing their awarded certificate program.
  • Scholarship recipients must sign a Scholarship Agreement within one week of notification.
  • Scholarship recipients must meet all deadlines for accepting, registering and paying fees as stated in the Scholarship Agreement.
