Application for Visiting PA Student/Resident Rotation

Thank you for your interest in rotating at Stanford HealthCare Tri-Valley and for allowing our institution to become an important component to your learning success. While we welcome applications for external rotations, we accommodate limited numbers of external medical students, physician assistant students, residents, and fellows per year depending on our provider capacity.

We are now part of the Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) program through AAMC! If your medical school is part of VSLO, you can apply for an away rotation at SHC Tri-Valley via the VSLO program website. https://students-residents.aamc.org/visiting-student-learning-opportunities/visiting-student-learning-opportunities-vslo

If your school is NOT part of VSLO but you are interested in an away rotation at SHC Tri-Valley, all external rotation requests require application and approval in advance. Please complete the REQUIRED External Rotation Request form (link to the right) at least 12-16 weeks ahead of your desired rotation date. Please note that you must have completed your internal medicine or family medicine core elective prior to the start date of your rotation with our program.

Please note, an Education Affiliation Agreement is REQUIRED between your institution and SHC Tri-Valley. Please check with your institution to see if an agreement is in place or reach out to our team if you have questions.
