Let's Talk About Race
We are running some listening sessions and surveys to explore the views and experiences of volunteers from ethnic minority backgrounds. We'd like to hear what you think Scouts could and should be doing to improve race equity and inclusion. We are hugely grateful for your time and for any thoughts, ideas and experiences you feel happy, safe and able to share. The listening sessions will be run on Zoom by an independent facilitator, Hayley Bennett. The sessions will be small, informal and confidential and cover topics including: ● Current barriers to race equity in Scouts ● What positive actions could make a difference ● Awareness of issues relating to racism and race equity at Scouts ● Volunteer & young peoples’ experiences ● Role models and leadership We are also allocating limited time for 121 interviews for people who would prefer to speak with the facilitator on an individual basis. If you would prefer to share your views this way, please let us know on the form . Please note that this form should be completed by volunteers from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds only. Names and email addresses will only be used and stored (for a maximum of 30 days) to contact you with a date for a listening session or to send you an anonymous survey link. Please see our data protection policy for details on how The Scouts process personal data https://scouts.org.uk/DPPolicy.
