Distribution of Information

Gympie Regional Council supports local community groups and event organisers to plan their events, including sharing contact details of vendors with external event organisers for the purpose of their event.

If you are unsure whether your business is classified as a food and beverage vendor or market stall, please contact events@gympie.qld.gov.au.


If your business has been issued a Food Business Licence, please select 'food and beverage business'.

 
 

Public Liability Insurance

All vendors are required to provide a digital copy of their Public Liability Insurance (PLI). The Certificate of Currency must be in the name of the applicant, noting Gympie Regional Council as an interested party and cover the scope of the activity. The level of cover must be a minimum of $20,000,000.

Environmental Sustainability

Gympie Regional Council is committed to reducing waste and implementing eco-friendly practices at events. As part of Queensland's plan to tackle plastic pollution, the supply of the following single-use plastic items is banned at events to help minimise waste and protect our environment:

  • straws and stirrers
  • cutlery, including knives, forks, sample tasting spoons, chopsticks, etc.
  • bowls and plates
  • expanded polystyrene takeaway food containers and cups
  • plastic shopping bags which do not meet new requirements
 
 

Supporting Documents

All vendors are required to provide a digital copy of their Public Liability Insurance (PLI) with a minimum level of cover of $20,000,000.


Food vendors are required to provide a digital copy of their Gympie Regional Council issued food business licence. Mobile Food Premises licences (for food trucks and trailers) issued by another council are accepted.
