Thank you for your interest in the Biosciences Hardship Program for PhD students. Your information will be kept confidential and reviewed only by the selection committee. In an effort toward supporting as many Biosciences students as possible:

• Hardship grant applicants are expected to have taken advantage of Stanford University Support Programs listed on the Stanford Financial Aid website. Including, but not limited to the Emergency Grant In Aid. Requests for support that are eligible via this program should first be submitted via this program. Further information can be found in the FAQ section of the Hardship website.
• Applicants can request up to $5000 to assist with covering financial expenses creating hardship. Actual award amounts may vary based on available funding and requests received in a given application cycle.
• For Mental Health inquiries, please first explore the Biosciences Mental Health Support program.

Tips:

Gather information about your finances including stipend, fellowship & grant award letters, Receipts/Invoices/Bills, monthly expenses, and any dependents to assist with completing this application.
