NITV COMMISSIONING PROPOSAL
SBS has developed COVID-Safe guidelines for film & TV practitioners working with SBS. Before we commission any projects, you will need to present a COVID-Safe plan in accordance with these guidelines. For a copy, please contact NITVProposals@sbs.com.au. COVID-Safe Guidelines have also been developed by an Australian Screen Sector Task Force via Screen Australia. It is intended to provide support and assistance to all practitioners (from screen producers to individual workers) in the Australian screen production industry as they consider returning and recommencing productions. https://www.screenaustralia.gov.au/production-during-covid-19
If the company is Indigenous-owned, you should be able to supply a copy of proof of ownership (see ATTACHMENTS).

At this stage, we do not commission international formats, scripted television series or feature films.
Tell us what stage your project is in. This is the stage you will be requesting funding for.
Provide a short paragraph about your proposal. You will also need to supply a one page pitch document and a treatment (see ATTACHMENTS).

Two out of three key creatives (producer, director and writer) must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. You will need to supply a CV for the producer, director and writer (see ATTACHMENTS)
If you have other crew members you would like to list, please write their names followed by their positions (e.g. Jane Doe - Executive Producer, John Doe - DOP).
Tell us how much your proposed program will cost to make and how you will fund it. You will need to supply a copy of the Screen Australia A -Z budget and finance plan (see ATTACHMENTS).
Tell us your proposed dates for the following milestones. You will also need to supply a copy of this proposed schedule in (see ATTACHMENTS).
To secure funding from NITV, you will need to show that you have the rights/permission you need to make the film for NITV to broadcast. This might include things such as licences or rights assignments for music or other original material that you do not own, or location filming permissions, or agreements with actors or presenters. You do not have to provide all of your clearance or ICIP documents with this application, but if your proposal is successful NITV will need to see applicable documentation before we can contract with you.
If you have clearance documents for your project, attach the relevant documentation (see ATTACHMENTS).
If your project includes material subject to ICIP rights, please attach an ICIP statement that lists the ICIP item/s and whether the owners/custodians have given permission for it to be used (see ATTACHMENTS).
For Development proposals: Provide a plan that sets out how you will prepare your workplace during the Development phase to protect you and your co-workers from COVID-19 (max. 1 page). For Production proposals: Provide a plan that sets out how you will prepare your workplace to protect production staff and talent to prevent infection, your response if there is a COVID-19 case, and your plan for recovery. (If you need assistance with your COVID-safety plan, contact NITVProposals@sbs.com.au. If you are unable to submit a plan with this application, you will be asked to submit it at a later date if your proposal.)
