Writing Center Appointment Review Request

This form may be used by SJSU students who want a no-show/missed appointment status reviewed and changed in their WCOnline account.


​The Writing Center policy states that if a student miss​es two appointments in one semester without ​canceling in advance, ​they​ will be blocked from the online scheduling system​ (WCOnline)​. ​The student​ will then be limited to using only ​drop-in services for the rest of the semester.


​A no-show/missed appointment status occurs when the student either arrives late (after the ten-minute grace period) or fails to attend and does not cancel in advance. ​


To submit a review request, please complete all of the questions in this form carefully. Details regarding the reasons for the review should give as much information as possible.


Once the request has been received, the Writing Center Director will review it, and a final decision will be sent via email within two business days.

Please include details of why you are requesting a change of the appointment status from no-show/missed. You should include information to support your request, such as reasons for lateness or not contacting the Writing Center to cancel before the appointment start time.
