The Cambridge Outdoor Dining Grant is a special grant program providing relief to local restaurants and cafes heavily impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic . The Program provides financial assistance up to $2,500 to reduce the costs to provide (or have provided) outdoor dining options during COVID-19.

Eligible expenses include:

• Paying for architectural services related to outdoor dining

• Purchase of outdoor dining materials

• Storage costs

Grant funds cannot be used for the following:

• For construction of outdoor dining structures

• to pay for local, state, or federal taxes, permits, and license fees owed,

• repayment of any previous federal or local grants/loans owed.

The City of Cambridge funds the Outdoor Dining Grant with American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) funding from the federal government. Federal guidelines requires that we obtain the following information from all applicants to the Program. This information is used by the City to determine the eligibility of the applicant under ARPA guidelines and is not shared with an outside party.
