CHAMPS Pipeline Program Application

When: July 14-18, 2025 8am-4:30pm

Who: Rising Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors in McLennan County.


Application Deadline: Friday May 9th, 2025 (Apply early before all slots are full!)


The CHAMPS program is a 5-day health careers exploration experience for high school students to encounter first-hand the challenges, opportunities, and rewards of health professions. It is designed for high school students who have an interest in learning about health professions. Through intensive and interactive activities students experience basic health skills training, professional speakers, clinical shadowing, college prep, and other fun and educational workshops. We invite you to apply if you are interested in an immersive summer experience in healthcare.

*** Student Vaccination Records. If you need assistance accessing these records, let us know and we can recommend next steps.


*** TB Test that has been taken and read as negative within the last year. If you need assistance with this we can make recommendations. ***Must be able to provide own transportation to and from the hospital. If this is an issue for you please make a note of it in the comments section

One letter of recommendation from a high school teacher, educator, or administrator is required. This should be someone who knows your academic and personal character. You may also submit an optional second letter of recommendation from a person of your choice. Pick someone who can speak in detail about you. (And don't forget to ask them if they can write you a positive reference letter!)


Up to date immunization records are required to participate in the program. By providing this now we will be able to tell you if you need any updated vaccinations so that you can participate.
