Specialty Program Registration

For specialty programming with June dates, registration will close on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.


For specialty programming with July dates, registration will close on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.

For special education students who are interested in the Extended School Year (ESY) program: Parents should contact their child’s special education teacher at their current school to enroll in Summer Academy via the IEP process.


For non-MPS students: To register for classes, students not currently enrolled in MPS must have their school counselor submit a current copy of the student's transcript and a letter of course requests on their school letterhead. These documents must be attached to this registration form before submitting. Your registration cannot be submitted without these documents.


For non-city of Milwaukee residents: Students must submit tuition payment at the time of registration to Milwaukee Public Schools (5225 W. Vliet Street, Room 150, Milwaukee, WI 53208). The cost of summer tuition is $500.

College 101 is the summer version of the M3 College Connections program for grades 9-11. The M3 College Connections program is an innovative dual-enrollment program of Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS), Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), and the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UWM) that allows eligible students to complete their high school graduation requirements while earning college credits from both MATC and UWM at no expense to the student.

Statement of Permission and Release of Liability

Permission: I understand, as parent/legal guardian of the above-named child, that there are times when the local news media, national news media, and/or nonprofit organizations partnering with Milwaukee Public Schools request the opportunity to videotape, take photographs, and/or interview children within the Milwaukee Public Schools. By checking yes, I understand that and give permission for MPS to allow this with respect to my child.


Release: I also understand that by signing this release I give permission to the Milwaukee Public Schools to make or use pictures, slides, digital images, or other reproductions of me, of my minor child, or of materials owned by me or my child, and to put the finished pictures, slides, or images to use without compensation in broadcast productions, publications, on the Web, or/in other printed or electronic materials related to the role and function of the Milwaukee Public Schools. I understand that by checking yes, I am, on behalf of myself and my child, releasing MPS and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any future claims as well as from any liability arising from the use of any photograph or other images. This form shall be valid for the entire summer program and can be revoked by the parent/legal guardian at any time in writing.
