2025 Community Request Form - Older Adults

We appreciate your interest in SMFR's community risk reduction programs! Please note all requests for a community presentation or visit must meet the following requirements:


  • Must be received no less than three weeks prior to the requested date
  • Minimum of 10 attendees
  • Participants must live or work in the district
  • We cannot participate in for-profit events

Please select the audience that best fits who you are filling out the request for. For example, if you work in a continuing care community but would like to request a presentation for the independent living side, please select independent living.

Steps to Safety is centered around 16 key safety messages—eight fire prevention and eight fall prevention. This is a one-hour class.


Safety Skills for Older Adults is taught in partnership with the South Metro Safety Foundation. This is a two-hour class that is taught by a Risk Reduction Specialist and Physical Therapist. This class covers hands-only CPR, how to spot a stroke, fall prevention, tips for getting up from a fall, and how to identify home hazards.
