ORE 4th Rotation

The majority of 1st year students match with a mentor after completing the standard three rotations. However, there are a few instances in which a student has not matched and/or requires an additional rotation to make the important selection of PhD mentor.

ORE will support a student during their 4th rotation for 6 weeks starting on July 1st. Financial support will include stipend and 3 course credits during the summer semester.

Program Directors will complete this form in late May (no later than June 1) to notify the ORE Associate Dean of Research Education and the ORE Business Services Program Director of their request for a student to complete a 4th rotation.

The expectation is that the student will select a mentor and transfer to a department upon the completion of the 4th rotation to ensure they have financial support to pay for their fall tuition, stipend, and fees. ORE will not pay for a student’s fall tuition and fees. ORE will not support a 5th rotation for a student.
