Fishers Police Department Citizens Academy Interest Form

Registration is now open for the 2021 Fall Fishers Police Citizens Academy! This session will begin on Wednesday August 11 and finish on Wednesday, November 17. The academy is an opportunity for the community to participate in police-style training through a 14-week course. Community members learn first-hand how the Fishers Police Department works. Training topics include criminal law, crime prevention, the K-9 program, defensive tactics, and narcotics training. The academy includes demonstrations and training as well as classroom instruction. The Citizens Academy is open to City of Fishers residents aged 16 and over. Registration for the fall academy will close on Friday, July 9, 2021. Registration is a two-step process. Begin the pre-registration process here by completing this form. Once your pre-registration is received, officers will conduct background checks.
