What is Mixed Delivery?


Mixed Delivery program provides public funding for full day, year long early childhood care and education services for eligible infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

  • Licensed, non-faith based, community child care centers and family day homes can participate in Mixed Delivery.


  • Early childhood programs located in Arlington County, City of Alexandria, City of Fairfax, City of Falls Church, and Fairfax County can participate.


This interest survey will help check if Mixed Delivery is a good fit for your site. It will take only 5-7 minutes!

Family/Child Eligibility Criteria for Mixed Delivery

A child/family is eligible for Mixed Delivery based on any one of the following criteria:


  • Parent/Guardian has an income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level


  • Child/Parent is experiencing homelessness


  • Parent/Guardian did not complete high school


  • Child is suspected of or has an identified disability


  • Other regional criteria (such as child/family with CPS involvement, Foster/Kinship care, etc.)

Part-time care means children attend certain days of the week, certain weeks of the month, partial day child care.
