PDX Community Solar Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in Verde’s PDX Community Solar Project at the Goodling Annex.

Community Solar is a way to access clean, renewable solar energy and have savings on your utility bill.


How does it work?

You subscribe to a portion of a solar project and then receive a credit on your monthly utility bill. There is a monthly fee, but for income-qualified participants, it will always be smaller than the credit— resulting in savings every month!


If you qualify, you’ll get special benefits and protections as a subscriber. You’ll have:


  • No upfront costs,
  • no termination fees,
  • discounts on subscription, and
  • guaranteed savings on your energy bill.


To be eligible for the PDX Community Solar Project Subscription*, you must:


  1. Live within the Cully Neighborhood or NE Portland.
  2. Have an income that is 80% or less of the State Median Income, adjusted for household size.
  3. Be a customer of Pacific Power.


Additionally, applicants who meet the following criteria will be prioritized:

  • People of color.
  • People living with disabilities.

If you meet the eligibility requirements, we will contact you to complete the next steps:


  1. Have a short appointment with the Community Energy Project (CEP) to verify your eligibility and utility information.
  2. Sign your subscription agreement.
  3. Start saving!

¿Cómo funciona?

Instructions to access your past energy consumption data on Pacific Power's website:


  1. Logging in to their customer account at www.pacificpower.net.
  2. Clicking on “Energy Usage” in the left-hand My Account menu bar.
  3. Above the chart displayed on the screen, clicking the drop-down menu labeled “For the period of:” and selecting “two years” (or the greatest time period available).
  4. Below the chart, clicking “Download Usage History” (be careful not to click “Download Green Button Data” instead, as this will download the data as an XML file instead of the desired CSV file).
  5. The resulting CSV file is what you should share with us if you can access it.
