Sign up for Deferred Action for Immigrant Workers 11/3/2023 from 1:00-2:00pm

Labor-based Deferred Action is a relatively new opportunity for immigrant workers who have been victims or witnesses to labor violations to seek protection from immigration-related retaliation. In January 2023, the Department of Homeland Security announced a "stream-lined process" for workers to submit applications for work authorization and deferred action. The program is the result of many years of organizing and advocacy from immigrant worker organizations who fought to raise attention to exploitation in the workplace. This webinar will give an overview of the application process for Labor Based Deferred Action and the potential to collaborate with community organizations and empower workers. The webinar will be presented by the National Immigration Law Center, Justice at Work Pennsylvania, the American Immigration Lawyer Association and the CARES and Farmworker Clinics at the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

This program has been approve for 1.0 Substantive Distance Learning PA CLE Credits.
