Notice of Intent to Submit

Submission Deadline: 5 p.m. on posted internal deadline.

For limited submission competitions, interested parties are required to provide a notice of intent to submit. This process achieves 2 important objectives:

  1. To reduce the burden in preparing a pre-proposal for a limited submission for which we do not anticipate significant internal competition.
  2. To identify faculty review panels in a timely and efficient manner for competitive limited submissions by having advance notice as to the fields of study for applicants.

This allows us to notify applicants of decisions as quickly as possible, allowing for maximum time to prepare a competitive proposal. We will notify interested parties within 2 business days of the internal deadline for a notice of intent to submit of either a) approval to submit for the limited competitions or b) notification that a pre-proposal will be required, along with the internal deadline to submit the pre-proposal.

If you are applying for a limited submission (click the link for the UO's process) that does not have an internal deadline for a notice of intent to submit, please e-mail rds@uoregon.edu.

Please list the name of the person in your department/shared services unit who assists you with putting together grant applications (e.g., business manager, departmental grant administrator, etc.)

Number of applications allowed per institution

What (if any) is the internal deadline set by UO for this NOI? This date would be found in Pivot or listed in the OVPRI Funding Opportunities Newsletter.

Please provide a brief (2-5 sentence) description of your proposed project.
