WORKSHOP GUIDELINES

The 2024 NEA ESP Conference Committee invites you to join a unified effort to grow and strengthen the professional excellence of ESP members working in Pre-K through Higher Ed. The NEA seeks workshop proposals for interactive learning opportunities that will deepen participants' connection to NEA's commitment to growth and strength and align with NEA's Strategic Framework.

To meet the NEA's overall professional practice standard and in keeping with the NEA Conference Alignment Team, all proposals must align with an NEA:

We are seeking interactive workshops impacting ESPs that focus specifically and deeply on current professional issues, such as worker shortages; privatization; health and student safety; peer mentoring; social-emotional learning; adverse childhood experiences and trauma; behavior management; communication skills; presentation skills; leadership skills; organizing; and career family specific content.

Participants should leave with relevant strategies and tools they can use in their careers, including sustainable solutions, new ideas, skill sets, and a plan of action for when they return home.
