2024 Nicor Gas Skilled Workforce Training and Employment (WTE) Application

The Nicor Gas Workforce Training and Employment (WTE) program is a paid training and job placement program. Selected participants will learn about building a trade career in improving homes to be more energy efficient, healthy, and affordable.


Through classroom training as well as on-the-job experience, participants will learn about energy efficiency topics and earn their Building Analyst and Healthy Home Evaluator certifications through the Building Performance Institute™ (BPI).

Jobs in the residential energy efficiency field typically require entering other people's homes, and likely include working in attics, basements and confined spaces.
