Call for Educational Content
To submit an idea for AHLA's Educational Content, please fill out the information on the form. AHLA values and seeks to advance and promote Inclusive, Diverse, Equitable, and Accessible (IDEA) participation within the Association. We are committed to having volunteers represent a broad cross-section of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, national origin, and disability. Different perspectives matter. Great topics often include speakers or authors from different backgrounds – private practice attorneys, in-house counsel, government representatives, consumer advocates, consultants, academicians, senior and junior – pairing up to present different views on the submitted topic.
In-Person Program, Virtual Program, or Live Webinar proposal:
- If you are submitting a session proposal with co-speakers, please be sure to confirm their participation before submitting their name.
- One program session or webinar cannot have two speakers from the same firm/organization.
- Suggest a very advanced or masters level topic. Most sessions submitted hit the “intermediate” level of audience knowledge. We’d like to include some very advanced topics submitted by qualified speakers.
Podcast:
- Speaking of Health Law podcasts offer thoughtful analysis and insightful commentary on the legal and policy issues affecting the health care system.
Articles:
- Health Law Weekly: An electronic news and analysis digest emailed to members every week that includes bylined feature articles. Feature articles generally should focus on a current awareness topic (at least 1,000 words).
- Health Law Connections: A monthly magazine that includes one or more bylined feature articles. Feature articles provide an in-depth analysis of a health law issue (2,500 - 3,500 words). Connections also includes shorter articles focusing on compliance issues (typically 1,000 words).
- Journal of Health and Life Sciences Law: An electronic publication that is published three times per year. Each issue contains in-depth, professionally reviewed articles. The Journal includes lengthier feature articles that provide a comprehensive treatment/deep analysis of a health law issue and shorter practice-oriented resources and brief insights on emerging health law topics.
- Practice Group Publications: Our 17 specialty practice groups publish a variety of content for their members that analyze current issues in health care, including bulletins (around 1,000 words); briefings (2,000 +); and toolkits (collections of documents, charts, checklists, forms, etc.).
