We accept all levels of projects from units within UNM Institutional Support Services, please remember we have a small team. Projects will be assessed as they are received. If ISS Marketing & Communications is unable to support your project request, you may be referred to available tools or resources we can readily provide, or to another team who can help.


If you have a complex project or are unsure of your project scope, please book a time to meet with us to better understand your request.

While we can help create your marketing content, your team will be responsible for any costs related to the project, ex. printing, paid social media advertising, billboard contracts, etc.

UNM News Room Article / Press Releases

ISS Marketing & Communications has templates available for these projects to help you compose your content. Here are some tips to consider:


  • News Minute is ~250 words or less, use links to provide more information - less is more


  • Press Release is ~400 words or less, make sure to include 5 W's (Who, Where, When, What, Why) with your How - a.k.a. Call to Action, use links when possible, limit to 1-2 quotes


  • Articles can vary in length, use links when possible, quotes used as needed


1. Compose content as the subject matter expert.


2. Return to this form if edits/content review is requested, select 'Editing / Review' as the category.


3. Submit to the UCAM Communications department, when you're ready.


Deadline: Wednesdays at Noon (12 P.M.)


UCAM Requirements:

  • Include when you want to run the content
  • Their system only allows you to upload one document at a time, please upload the content via Word and then reply to the email ticket confirmation with any additional attachments

Project Request

Help us kick-start your project for a quick turnaround! If you're able to provide the following during project submission, your project time will be greatly reduced:


  • Call to Action (phone numbers, URL's, etc.)


  • Text content typed in a Word Doc


  • Hyperlinks to supporting websites


  • Supporting photos (high resolution)


  • Supplemental materials (mood boards, inspiration photos, etc.)
