The General Permit Program is a specific type of site development review, permitting, and inspection process for City of Austin Departments and Franchised Utilities. General Permits allow infrastructure improvements, maintenance, and new installations on City of Austin-owned property or within easements dedicated to the City of Austin.


For projects in your portfolio with a scope of work that falls within the General Permit agreement parameters, please submit directly to the Formal General Permits webform.

Projects will need to receive a Memorandum of Understanding from ECHO to be identified as Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH).

This person will act as the project’s single-point-of-contact for the remainder of the consultation period for submitting documents and forwarding invitations to their internal team. Action taken or requested for reviews should be submitted-by or directed-to the applicant.
