Geocache Placement Permit Application

Permittee hereby releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue the County of Sarasota, its departments, officers, and agents from any and all liability to Permittee, its officers, employees and agents, for all losses, injury, death, or damage, and any claims or demands that result in injury to person or property, or resulting in death of Permittee, its officers, employees or agents, whether caused by the County of Sarasota, it departments, employees or agents.

Any Sarasota County Geocache Permittee who places a geocache in any Sarasota County Park, Nature Area, Preserve, or City Park managed by Sarasota County hereby covenants and agrees to indemnify and save harmless, the County of Sarasota, its departments, officers, elected officials, employees and agents, and any co-operating municipality from any and all claims and demands, for all loss, injury, damages, and costs including but not limited to, reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, whether such fees and costs are incurred in negotiations, collection of attorney’s fees or at the trial level or on appeal, for injury to or death of any person(s) or for damage to any property arising from (1) this permit; (2) the activities authorized by this permit; and (3) the use or occupancy of the lands or premises which are the subject of this permit, as well as other County or municipality owned lands or premises. This indemnification and save harmless agreement shall extend to all loss, injury, death, or damage, proximately caused or arising to the County of Sarasota, its departments, officers, elected officials, employees and agents, and co-operating municipality.
