Petition for Proficiency Validation Non-English High School

Students who attended a full-time high school for at least two years where the primary language of instruction was not English may be deemed proficient in that language based on high school coursework. If you think you are in this category and would like to fulfill the Weinberg College language proficiency requirement, please submit this petition and supporting documentation for evaluation.


INSTRUCTION


Complete all sections and submit this petition with all required documents listed below before the end of your first quarter at Northwestern.


Required documents:


  1. A copy of high school transcript in English
  2. A letter, in English, from a high school official verifying that the coursework reflected on your transcript was taught primarily in a language other than English


Incomplete petitions will not be processed.
