Code of Conduct
It is important for Contractors to uphold a level of professional conduct at our exhibitions. In the interests of promoting good relationships within the industry, RX request the following code of conduct to be adhered to for the duration of the move in and move out of the exhibition:
• Space Only Contractors on arrival to site must check stand mark out before commencing any work and contact the RX Operations Manager if there are any issues.
• All contractors must wear high visibility clothing and enclosed footwear while working on the exhibition floor and loading dock areas.
• Contractors are reminded not to access other contractor's/exhibitors stands unless invited.
• Directions from Security and RX staff must be followed at all times.
• Alcohol & Illicit drugs cannot be brought into the venue/worksite.
• Workers will not be allowed onto the worksite if they are deemed to be intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs.
• All space only stand designs must be approved by RX at least two (2) weeks prior to installation.
• All electrical leads and lighting must be compliant to Australian standards and show a current test and tag label. All power must be ordered and paid for through the official electrical supplier.
• Forklifts and boom lifts are only to be used by RX appointed suppliers. Space Only stand contractors must contact GEL, the official logistics supplier, for all materials handling requirements.
• Access to exhibition stands while the event is operational must be approved by RX Operations Manager onsite and a badge may be required.
• Move In schedules are to be followed and move out information is available on the afternoon of the first opening day of each event.
• All stand build materials, equipment, and crates must be removed from the exhibition site by the end of the move out. There is no available service for the dumping of stand build materials or stand displays at the event. Any materials/crates/pallets etc that are left behind that RX has to manage and remove will be on charged to the stand builder/exhibitor. Starting at a min cost of $2000 or the total value of the volume to be disposed. Alternative plans should be in place to return the stand materials or displays to the exhibitor or stand builders premises for disposal if required.
All contractors must follow and familiarise themselves on the - Psychosocial hazards | Safe Work Australia legislation. A psychosocial hazard is anything that could cause psychological harm (e.g. harm someone’s mental health). Common psychosocial hazards at work include:
• job demands
• low job control
• poor support
• lack of role clarity
• poor organisational change management
• inadequate reward and recognition
• poor organisational justice
• traumatic events or material
• remote or isolated work
• poor physical environment
• violence and aggression
• bullying
• harassment, including sexual harassment, and
• conflict or poor workplace relationships and interactions
