Canvas Site Request

Use this form to request a Development, Project, or Backup site. Please submit a separate form for each site that you want created.

Once your new Development, Project or Backup site is created, as SiteHost you can add guests yourself. Go to “How to Add Guests to Your Canvas Course”, and select the “Add Guest to Dev Site” tab for details.

Development site: Design and build your course site before importing it into a live site (Development sites are not connected to Active Roster)
Project site: Committees, departments or other groups can use Canvas to support their projects
Back-up site: You will be provided with an empty site into which you can import course material you would like to store as a back-up. Back-up sites cannot be connected to Active Roster.

Note naming convention:

Development site: We add DEV and your last name to the end of the course prefix and number (e.g., ACTG 1A DEV Lastname)
Backup site: We add BACKUP and your last name to the end of the course prefix and number (e.g., ACTG 1A BACKUP Lastname)

If you want, we can set up your new site with a template that you can modify. Do you want your new site to be empty or to have a template?*

Template includes an orientation module and suggested layouts for assignments, discussions, and modules.
