Radiogenic Isotope Geochemistry Clean Lab Position Description

A full-time research technician is needed to manage the Radiogenic Isotope Geochemistry Clean Laboratory in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Northwestern University.


Applicants should have a strong background in TIMS, isotope dilution, and general clean room chemistry. Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic and vacuum equipment is required.


The technician will operate and maintain the TIMS and supporting equipment, prepare reagents and spikes, analyze samples, train students, assist visitors, interface with faculty and other personnel, and maintain records of usage and expenses.
