PHSA Rising Star Award Nomination Form

In order to foster a new generation of leaders across the country who represent their states in human services, developmental disabilities, long term care and child welfare law, the Public Human Services Attorneys (PHSA) have introduced a rising star award this year.

The criteria for this award is as follows:

Active in developing and/or supporting improved legislation, public policy, and practice pertaining to the administration of public welfare
Supports inclusiveness and innovation in the discussion and exchange of information in the area of public welfare law
Exhibits a high degree of professionalism and competence in their field of work
Demonstrates emerging leadership qualities within their field of work
Person of integrity, courage, good humor, and compassion
Cordial in interactions with others
Commitment to growing the practice of public human services law in their practice community
