2025-2026 Student Board of Directors Application

Role Description:

At Harvest Table we pride ourselves in developing hospitality programs that are “for the guest, by the guests.” Meaning that we continually evolve our programs based on guest feedback. To further that mission, we recruit annually for a Student Board of Directors, one student per campus we serve, that acts as an advisory committee providing feedback on our programs and share valuable insights for future innovation.


Before completing this application please be aware that the Board commitment is for the full 2025 - 2026 academic year. Split terms due to study abroad or winter 2025 graduation will not be honored. To be eligible for this role you must be a currently enrolled student and not currently employed by Harvest Table Culinary Group or the University dining program.


Applications will be accepted Monday, April 7, 2025 through 5:00pm EST on Friday, June 6, 2025. Applications and/or videos submitted after 5:00pm EST Friday, June 6, 2025 will not be considered for the selection process.

2025-2026 Responsibilities:

NATIONAL COMMITMENT:


  • Required to attend and actively participate in quarterly virtual meetings with Harvest Table Leadership. These meetings take place at 1:00pm EST on the last Friday of September 2025, November 2025, February 2026 and April 2026.


  • Support Harvest Table growth efforts by supplying testimonials, video content and more as requested. Quarterly expectation (self-reviews, self-filmed content and written testimonials).


  • Attend Student Board meeting in-person in May 2026. Expenses for the trip (travel, hotel, food) will be covered by Harvest Table. Dates and location TBD.



LOCAL CAMPUS COMMITMENT:


  • Meet with your Campus Dining Account Lead, Executive Chef, Registered Dietitian and Guest Experience Manager once per month to review current program, new ideas and peer feedback. Provide feedback on the national virtual connects.


  • Lead/co-lead/actively participate in the campus dining board/food committee/student dining committee


  • Participate in the Student Welcome Home Event (HTCG-sponsored event) & WOW Event


  • Prepare a report for your monthly dining team meetings that includes:


  • Mystery shop notes (1 minimum per month).
  • Events attended.
  • Feedback from peers/student groups – potentially a running document where they could keep notes from students.
  • Assist with planning WOW events (1 per semester).
  • Attend 1-2 dining engagement events per month, including 1 Health & Wellbeing event each semester.
  • Assist in launch plans for new programs/concepts.


Milestone verification: Lack of active participation could end your board term at the conclusion of fall 2025.

Meal Plan Incentive

If selected, Board Members will be provided a meal plan for fall 2025 and spring 2026 at a reduced rate or complimentary rate. No substitutions or alterations to a meal plan will be honored.
