The Submission Process


This form is used to submit proposals for new digital and data projects, request additional project resources, or suggest enhancements to existing systems.


To ensure a comprehensive evaluation of your request, you will need to provide:


  • A clear description of the work required, whether it is a new use for data, a new connection or population health request
  • An assessment of any potential cost implications
  • The name of a clinical sponsor who supports your request


In addition, you will be asked to score your request based on the following criteria:


  • Strategic fit within the health and care system
  • Overall effort required to complete the work
  • Anticipated contribution to the system


Each element must be scored on a scale from 1 to 5, where:

1 – Very Low

2 – Low

3 – Moderate

4 – High

5 – Very High


All submissions will be reviewed by the Integrated Care Digital and Data Steering Group (ICDDSG)—a clinically and practice-led committee responsible for setting priorities for system-wide digital and data projects. This group meets monthly to assess and prioritise requests.

Scoring

To help determine the priority of your request, you will need to provide a prioritisation rating across ten key criteria. Each criterion will be scored on a five-point scale (1 – Very Low to 5 – Very High), with weightings applied to ensure a fair and consistent assessment. Based on your responses, an overall rating will be assigned.

Your submission will be reviewed at the next Integrated Care Digital and Data Steering Group (ICDDSG) meeting. If additional information is needed, we will arrange a meeting with you and the Sponsor/SRO before a final decision is made.


If your request is approved, it will be prioritised by the ICB Digital Team to ensure resources are allocated appropriately alongside existing work.
