Confidentiality

Will any confidential information be provided to the project team in order to fulfill the project objectives?*

If you select yes, your agreement will include a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Keep in mind that there are certain aspects of a project that cannot be confidential such as data, project title, project description, outcomes, analysis and/or results.

Intellectual Property

Any Intellectual Property (IP) a student conceives of and/or develops during the course of the project belongs to them, unless the company works with Cornell to facilitate the students signing over their rights to the IP in advance of the start of project.

Because Intellectual Property could be conceived or developed during the course of this project, would you require participating students to assign this IP to your company? These assignments would need to be counter signed by the appropriate person at your company before the project can begin.*
