Arts Resilience Initiative: Community Project Awards
Complete and submit this form and attach your Letter of Interest to indicate your interest in applying for this award. ARI Community Project Awards are designed to support Ohio artists engaged in community-focused projects. All OAC funds must be directed to outside artist fees. No cash match is required, but grantee organizations must provide the administrative time and supplies needed to complete each project. Projects may involve either one paid artist or a team of paid artists. Projects may or may not involve other unpaid community volunteers or participants. Naming a specific artist(s) in an application is not required; that is, artist(s) may be determined by a grantee after receipt of an award. However, applications will be evaluated in part according to their readiness level and viability. Applicants in search of qualified artists in their area are encouraged (but not required) to consider those listed in the OAC’s Ohio Artist Registry. Selected artist(s) must be an Ohio resident. Eligible applicants may request between $10,000 and $15,000. No cash match is required. An organization may receive only one ARI award. All applicants must possess nonprofit status or nonprofit intent. Applicants may be: 1) arts and cultural organizations in any arts discipline (literature, performing arts, visual arts, traditional arts, multidisciplinary arts, etc.); 2) other organizations that provide arts programming (government entities, social service agencies, etc.); or 3) educational organizations (public, private, charter, and parochial schools from pre-kindergarten through university level) providing arts programming in a community setting. As a reminder, current OAC grantees in programs including Sustainability, Arts Access, ArtSTART, ArtsNEXT, and Arts Partnership, are eligible to apply for ARI Community Project Awards provided that funds are not used for an activity already being directly support by OAC funds. LOI submissions are due no later than November 1, 2021 by 5:00 p.m. For full initiative details, visit https://oac.ohio.gov/Resources/Current-Initiatives
