Warranty Request Form - Lighting Projects

You may submit for up-to 3 warranty replacements per submittal.

Please use this form for all warranty claims.

Retrofit Electric offers the manufacturer's warranty for materials installed on our projects. In most cases this warranty is 5 years, but it does vary by product and project.


We can facilitate requesting the replacement components and in most cases can have the material shipped directly to you. (This process can take anywhere from a week to several months depending on the availability of materials) We will always do our best to get you the materials as soon as possible.


Labor is not included in the warranty and all replacement fixtures, drivers and ballasts must be installed by a licensed electrician. (We are not able to request additional replacements if the replacement material was installed incorrectly)


Most manufacturers don't charge shipping fees in regards to replacement materials but it does happen on occasion- If this is the case you will receive an invoice for the freight.


Please note all of the information required before starting this form, as you must complete the entire submittal at one time and can not save partially complete.


If you are not hiring TRC electricians to troubleshoot, be prepared to provide: Part # of defective product(s), Photos of defective(s)

Once the form is completed someone from TRC will confirm whether we have started a ticket for this request or whether we are missing required information. We can not assist with your warranty request without part #s. (unless you are hiring our team to come onsite and troubleshoot)

I understand I may have to return faulty products for testing*

In most cases, the manufacturer will want the faulty fixture/lamps/drivers sent back to them so that they can do testing to see why it has failed. It is your responsibility to ship the faulty items back to the manufacturer within a timely manner, unless you hire Retrofit Electric for the service.

If Retrofit Electric is hired to troubleshoot, we will ship these products on your behalf. **While freight is typically covered, there are exceptions. There may be some instances where you receive a freight invoice.

I understand that if I do not return the faulty product (if requested), I may be billed for the replacement.*

TRC will notify you if your faulty product needs to be shipped to the manufacturer. Please inquire prior to discarding of these items to ensure you do NOT need to return them.
