Volunteer Training Application Form

The Coaching for Health volunteer training will be approximately 40 hours long with a mix of self-guided online training and facilitated (live) online Zoom training sessions.


Attendance for live Zoom training days is required and online modules are released between live training sessions. Live training sessions will not be recorded for viewing later.


Participants are paired up and expected to do practice exercises between sessions, complete a recorded coaching session together at the end, as well as a peer-evaluation of up to 2 recordings from other participants.


Participants must complete a criminal record check.

Please note that this volunteer opportunity is only open to people who currently reside within British Columbia, Canada.

Please note that you must be 18 years of age or older to apply for this volunteer role.

Please note that all live trainings are done over Zoom, self-directed study is done on your computer, and the delivery of coaching to our clients is done over the phone. Therefore, all training and coaching can be done from your own home.

Pain BC volunteers are required to complete 100 hours of service each year (roughly 70% of this time is in direct client service). Is this time you will be able to commit to?*
