Thank you for your interest in the City of Minneapolis’ Request for Supplies program, offered by the Solid Waste & Recycling Division of Public Works. This Program was introduced in the spring of 2017, and is ongoing in many neighborhoods throughout the City. The Request for Litter Clean-Up Supplies is offered to all organized neighborhood-block clubs, individuals, and organizations interested in cleaning up their area to improve the livability of their neighborhood. To participate in this program, you agree to: 1. Clean the public sidewalks, curbs, and boulevard greenbelts of the block, corner to corner, and through the alley. 2. Place bagged litter at your collection point for disposal by Solid Waste & Recycling Staff. The group/organization may register specific dates for your clean-up by completing the application form attached. The group/organization will be responsible for maintaining the supply of gloves and bags delivered. Filled bags should be securely tied and placed next to your garbage cart (may place inside of cart if they can be contained). Solid Waste personnel will collect the bags on the regular collection day. If you have City garbage service, the additional bags will not count as an excess garbage infraction. The group/organization agrees to hold the City of Minneapolis, Division of Solid Waste & Recycling, free and harmless of any liability relating to this clean-up event. The group/organization assumes all responsibility for all volunteers during clean-up events. Questions can be directed to the Clean City Coordinator at (612) 673-2789.
All cleanup events and supply deliveries must be within the City of Minneapolis limits.
