2025 Parks Scholarship Opportunities

Parks is offering three scholarship opportunities.


General Youth Scholarship Program: for low-income youth ages 3-21, to be able to access registration-based activities (no drop-in or admission-based activities) throughout the Pierce County Parks system. Qualifying individuals or households may receive a scholarship credit of up to $300 per household to cover 50% of registration fees per program.


2025 Summer Life Scholarships: Pierce County Parks is providing qualified local youth, ages 13-17, a 10-week summer program series of experiential learning activities during Summer 2025 designed to develop leadership, social skills, and healthy personal, environmental, and community interests. On-site activities for this program are already free, but this scholarship provides qualifying youth with a full fee-waiver for the field trips for this program, which usually cost $10.


Specialized Recreation Scholarship Program: for low-income households that want to participate in any of the County's Specialized Recreation programming. Qualifying individuals or households may receive a scholarship credit of up to $300 per household to cover 100% of registration fees per program, specifically applicable to Specialized Recreation "Adventures within Reach" programs within Pierce County Parks.
