Orientation

All participants must attend one live Orientation session for D227: Management Communication in Practice (Experiential Learning) in order to be assigned to a project. In orientation, you will learn what to expect during your time in the course, required paperwork due before beginning the course, and other information to help you be successful.

Project Selection

Availability for each project is limited. Please select "yes" if you would be interested in being assigned to the specified project or "no" if you would not be interested in being assigned to that project. Project preference will try to be accommodated, but not all participants may be assigned to the project of their choice.

Sword Performance - Communicating to a new market*

Sword Performance is a performance beverage company, which has pivoted to serving the industrial (utility, steal, manufacturing) market to prevent heat-stress/fatigue and prevent workplace injury. The goal of this project is to develop a communications plan for the consumer athletic/active lifestyle market.

Project Trenton - Messaging a new product to different users*

Project Trenton requires a messaging guide to encompass the direct messaging to take the product to the market and to our buyers for a confidential new product being developed. Messaging will need to be developed to attract B2B companies and organizations, along with an alternative messaging for B2C individuals who may subscribe.

Red Beach Advisors - Bringing a new product to market*

Project Trenton requires a go-to-market and communications strategy for a communications platform that is being developed for the military and service members.

Technology Integrity Council: Expanding the "TreeID" Project*

The Tech Integrity Council (TIC) is a non-profit organization promoting ethical, sustainable, standards-driven development and use of advanced technologies for good. One of our focus areas is the TreeID Project, a universal tree registry initiative in partnership with several international non-profits. The TreeID certification framework and data scheme exist to facilitate the sponsorship of reforestation-centric environmental investments. Students will work with the TreeID Project to create a communications plan to expand our partner network and impact.
