Fall 2024 Region I Cohort Application

The Alberta Equestrian Federation, British Columbia Horse Council, Manitoba Horse Council, and Saskatchewan Horse Federation bring a new opportunity to Instructor and Competition Coach – English and Western candidates this Winter!

Using a cohort working together in a virtual environment, candidates in a group will work together with an experienced Coach Developer through the training and certification process. The cohort will ensure a more accessible format for candidates who can’t attend an in-person evaluation for various reasons.

Candidates must have a Gmail account as the Cohort is delivered through Google Classroom.

Registrations close on August 4, 2024, at 11:59 PM!

All meetings are delivered through Zoom.

Candidates for the cohort will be selected by the following criteria:

  • Complete applications
  • Readiness Questionnaire answers

The Learn to Ride certificate of the respective level is a requirement to register in the Cohort. Please check below which level is required per each NCCP context:

  • English Instructors – Learn to Ride English Level 6 or Pony Club C2
  • Western Instructors – Learn to Ride Western Level 4
  • English Competition Coach – Learn to Ride English 8 or Pony Club A-B
  • Western Competition Coach – Learn to Ride Western Intermediate Basic Training

Twelve spots for each context are available.

This cohort will be available only for Instructor and Competition Coach candidates of the English and Western disciplines. We are working on expanding to other contexts and disciplines.

Once your application is approved, we will contact you and provide more information on your next steps.
