TEXPOP Network Affiliate Application
Thank you for your interest in affiliating with the Population Research Center (PRC) at The University of Texas at Austin (UT). We welcome applications from Texas-based university professors conducting research in the population sciences. The PRC is an NIH-funded interdisciplinary unit that has been fostering collaboration among population scientists on our campus for more than 60 years. With our TEXPOP Network, we hope to extend our collaborations to population scientists across Texas.
As an Affiliate of the PRC, we would invite you to:
- Attend, and potentially present at, our weekly research seminar, held each Friday from noon to 1, either virtually or in person.
- Partner with UT Austin researchers to apply for Interuniversity Catalyst Seed Grants
- Apply to our Visiting Scholar Program, through which we bring demographers and population scientists to UT for a week of collaborations, with an honorarium and support for lodging, travel, and meals.
- If you are anticipating having a sabbatical, we invite you to apply to spend some or all of your sabbatical at the PRC, with office and computing support.
We invite your participation in any or all of these PRC activities. We also plan to develop other ways to facilitate collaborations between UT faculty and TEXPOP Network Affiliates and their students and we welcome your suggestions. All Affiliates are listed on the PRC website, and terms will be for 2 years. We will contact you after a 2-year period about renewing your term.
Please apply below. Applications are reviewed at several points throughout the year. Applications will be reviewed by the PRC Governance Committee. Once approved, the PRC Director will contact you.
