TIPS FOR COMPLETING THE FORM

  • You don't need to list every course that you have taken. Just list enough units to fulfill the unit requirements in each section.
  • You must have some 299 units, but do not list more than the maximum allowed. For example, one semester you took 12 units of 299 with Prof. XXX. Only list the maximum number of units allowed for your plan, not all 12 units.
  • Candidacy is valid for 3 years (6 semesters).
  • You can advance to MS candidacy as long as the courses you list on the form are completed or in progress.
  • If you are advancing for a Plan I M.S. thesis, please also submit the Graduate Division form to your Staff Advisor.
