THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING YOUR TIME AND ENERGY WITH PORTLAND PARKS & RECREATION!

We are happy to have you with us today, and hope this volunteer experience is rewarding to you.

We have an excellent safety record for our volunteer program. We don't anticipate that you'll be involved in an accident, but it is important you understand the extent to which our volunteer program is covered by the City of Portland insurance. We want you to be aware of any potential risks involved with the tasks you have selected and use good judgment in performing those tasks.

Please note that as a volunteer working on Portland Parks & Recreation property:

You are NOT covered by the City of Portland's Workers Compensation Program

You are urged to have your own health insurance in the event you are injured while performing your volunteer duties.

You ARE covered by the City's General Liability Fund

This will protect you in the event of property damage or accidental injury to the public as a result of your volunteer duties assigned by PP&R.

You ARE consenting to the use of your photograph in printed and electronic PP&R materials, as well as in the materials of our project partner organizations (the Columbia Slough Watershed Council).

I grant to Portland Parks & Recreation (Portland, OR) and/or project partner organizations, their representatives and employees the right to take photographs of me, my children and my property in connection with this event. I agree that Portland Parks & Recreation and/or project partner organizations, their assigns and transferees, may use and publish the photographs of me for any lawful purposes (including but not limited to event publicity, illustration, advertising, and Web content), whether in print and/or electronically, with or without my name. There will be no financial payment to me for use of my image. I waive any right that I may have to inspect or approve the photographs before they are used.
