BF Para Fencing Classification Request

This form is for para fencers who wish to be classified - either Nationally or Internationally.

National Classification is required for some domestic wheelchair fencing competition. (Refer to individual entry conditions).

National Classification is also required prior to an athlete being put forward for International (World Para Fencing) Classification.

Athletes wishing to put themselves forward for National Classification are usually expected to have a basic ability to participate in wheelchair fencing (this would be assessed by a registered coach).

All athlete assessments and allocation of sports class and sports status comply with World Para Fencing Classification Rules. Any World Para Fencing International Classification will supersede National Classification.

Athletes must be internationally classified before they can compete in an international (World Para Fencing) competition. Most World Para Fencing competitions will include a classification opportunity usually the day before the competition.
