The Rather Prize will award $10,000 to the best idea to improve Texas education, and may recognize up to five great ideas overall. The winner and honorees will be connected to supports to help them sustain, grow and spread their ideas.

To apply, please complete this form. Where prompted, attach a 150-word abstract of your idea and a detailed plan and description (750 words or less).

The 150-word abstract should be submitted as a PDF file. The file should be labeled with the contact's last name, first initial and the word "abstract" (e.g. "SmithJ.abstract").

The detailed plan should be submitted as a separate PDF, and should describe: - The challenge being addressed and why it is important; - The plan to address the challenge, including specific intended outcomes, and - Research-backing or other evidence the plan will work. The plan can include references to academic literature, community partners, skill and experience of the team, and/or past success with similar initiatives.

The plan PDF file should be labeled with the contact's last name, first initial and the word "description." (e.g. "SmithJ.Description")
