Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share information about your open position! We hope to raise awareness about important youth serving positions in Minneapolis to better the health of our professional field and to ensure all Minneapolis children and youth have access to safe, comprehensive, and high quality afterschool opportunities. Please fill out this form in full and we will share your information via our Afterschool Network Newsletter and social media channels. Thank you for all that you do!
Job Submission Guidance and Information
- Job submissions are free.
- Employers can be nonprofits, public or private entities.
- Jobs should be primarily Minneapolis-based, Twin Cities-based, and/or be designated as remote.
- Jobs can be part-time or full-time positions for adults. We will also accept paid internship opportunities for adults in youth-serving organizations.
- The newsletter will go out 1-4 times per month depending on the volume of submissions.
- The newsletter cannot accept attachments, so a PDF of the job description will not work. Please include a link to the job description and/or your organization’s job page.
- In an effort to promote transparency and equity, we encourage submissions to include wage and/or salary information.
Additional details
- Youth work is a broad field. Eligible job types can include: front-line (working directly with young people); mid-level management (managing and/or directing one or more youth development programs); upper-level management (managing a youth-serving organization); capacity-building (providing professional development, technical assistance, monitoring or evaluating programs, or conducting research on youth development opportunities).
- Examples of youth development topic areas include (but are not limited to): Academic Enrichment (ex. STEM, Literacy, Tutoring, Computer Skills/Coding); Arts (ex. Visual and Performing Arts, Cultural Arts, Music, Dance, Theater); Athletics, Sports + Recreation (ex. Athletics, Co-ed Volleyball, Yoga, Outdoor/Nature Education); Attendance/Truancy Prevention (ex. Be@School); College + Career Readiness (ex. College Access, Job Shadowing, Internship); Leadership (ex. Youth Councils, Civic Engagement, Advocacy/Community Organizing); Mentoring (ex. Small group, 1:1); Health + Wellness (ex. Nutrition/Cooking, Social-Emotional Learning, Mental Health, Sexual Health); Independent Living Skills (ex. Financial Literacy); Foundational Needs (ex. Access and Resources for Housing, Food, etc.)
