2025 CRSB AGM Student Sponsorship

The CRSB is pleased to facilitate its second student sponsorship opportunity. Two successful graduate students will present their research to the CRSB membership at the Annual General Meeting in Toronto, ON on September 23rd and display a poster summarizing their research during the meeting. The student will have the opportunity to network with industry representatives from all areas of the Canadian beef value chain.

Abstract deadline: June 30th, 2025 11:59 PM MT


Selected abstracts will continue to the 2nd round interview process.


Sponsorship will cover costs for students' registration, hotel and airfare to the event.


Requirements:

  • Must be a current graduate student attending a Canadian academic institution
  • Research must be focused on or related to sustainability in the Canadian beef industry
  • Research can relate to any area within the supply chain (from farm to fork) or beef sustainability. This includes but is not limited to ecology, biodiversity, crop breeding, food waste, economics, rural communities, animal science, production efficiencies, etc.
  • Must be able to attend the meeting on September 23rd, 2025

Guidelines


  • Abstract text (not including title) limit is 350 words.
  • The proposed title limit is 25 words.
  • Please provide 5 keywords that relate to your abstract content.
  • A clearly stated objective in the first sentence.
  • Experimental methodology (such as population, experimental design, housing, data collection and statistical analysis).
  • If available, results related to the objective must be stated with the appropriate statistical inferences. One table or figure can be included if this is the most appropriate method for result presentation.
  • A clear conclusion that defines relevance to the industry and/or application of the results.
