CRSB AGM Student Sponsorship Opportunity

The Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (CRSB) is pleased to announce its second annual Student Sponsorship Opportunity.

Two graduate students will be selected to present their research to CRSB members at the Annual General Meeting, taking place in Toronto, ON on September 23, 2025. In addition to delivering an oral presentation, selected students will also display a research poster during the meeting. This event provides a valuable opportunity to engage and network with leaders and industry representatives from across the Canadian beef value chain.

Selection Process: Applicants will be shortlisted based on their abstract submissions. Selected candidates will advance to a second-round interview conducted by the CRSB’s Scientific Advisory Committee.

Sponsorship Details: Successful applicants will receive coverage for event registration, hotel accommodations, and a travel allowance to attend the Annual General Meeting.

Applicants must:

• Be a current graduate student enrolled at a Canadian academic institution

• Be conducting research focused on or related to sustainability within the Canadian beef industry

• Research can be applicable to any area of the supply chain — from production to consumption —including, but not limited to: ecology, biodiversity, crop science, food waste reduction, agricultural economics, rural community development, animal science, and production efficiencies

• Be available to attend the Annual General Meeting on September 23, 2025 in Toronto
