Event Garde is seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and collaborative Event Manager to join our growing team of independent contractors. This role supports a portfolio of client events — both in-person and virtual — and requires a strong background in event logistics, comfort with remote work, and a passion for creating seamless, engaging experiences.
What You'll Do
This role involves:
- Leading registration and event technology setup (Zoom, YM, SurveyMonkey, event apps)
- Managing logistics: hotel, AV, F&B, shipping, transportation, signage, printing, and volunteers
- Receiving, storing, and managing event supplies and materials (e.g., shipping cases, signage, exhibit booths, marketing materials)
- Overseeing onsite implementation and supporting virtual facilitation
- Coordinating post-event tasks: reconcile invoices, reports, after action reviews, recordings, digital badges
- Liaising with venues and vendors
- Supporting budgeting and contract processes
- Communicating with speakers, managing paperwork, and maintaining timelines
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, self-directed professionals with exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and collaboratively
- Willingness to learn and use tools like Slack, Smartsheet, Vimeo, and others
- Availability for travel based upon client meeting/event schedule
- Physical space to house event supplies and a willingness to manage associated inventory
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented culture — both internally and with clients
- Confidence in managing task lists, setting priorities, and leading internal planning meetings
