The following is your Membership Agreement (the “Contract”) that outlines the terms and conditions of membership between yourself (the “Member”) and Vancouver Coastal Health (“VCH”).


  1. Payments – I agree to pay the dues outlined above, while acknowledging that fees are subject to change with at least three (3) months advance notice. If I do not provide written instructions to revise my choices within that time, I authorize the VGH Cycling Centre to remove my access.
  2. Termination of Membership and Refunds
  3. I may terminate this Agreement by providing advance written notice of cancellation to VCH.
  4. Annual Memberships that are cancelled will be eligible for a refund. If written cancellation is provided with at least five (5) working days before the end of a calendar month, the refund will be made the following month.
  5. VCH, at its absolute and sole discretion, may immediately suspend or cancel this Contract for any reason at any time. This may include, but is not limited to: failing to pay membership fees; failing to comply with the VGH Cycling Centre House Rules; inappropriate behaviour; and/or, willful misconduct. The VGH Cycling Centre House Rules are posted throughout the facility for Member’s review.
  6. Use of Facilities – VCH provides the VGH Cycling Centre premises on an as-is basis. The facility is not supervised and Members use the premises at their own risk. VCH is not responsible for any loss or damage suffered by any person arising from or related to the use of the VGH Cycling Centre including but not limited to injury or theft or damage of Members’ property.
  7. Damage to Facilities – Members are to respect and look after all equipment, facilities and services within the centre. Concerns about the safety or condition of the facilities or equipment must be reported to commuting@vch.ca
  8. Transfers – Membership is non-transferable to another person and members must not grant entry to any other person. Each person entering the facility must swipe his/her own access card.
  9. Change of Rules / Operations
  10. VCH may add, change or remove House Rules or conditions of membership. Members will be notified of any such additions, deletions or changes via email and posted notices within the VGH Cycling Centre.
  11. Under some circumstances (and subject to all privacy provisions) VGH Cycling Centre staff may need to access your locker in your absence. Such unattended access would be rare; only occurring under reasonable circumstances, i.e. strong odours, bugs, vermin, or evidence of long periods without use.

  13. Release, Waiver and Indemnity Agreement – In consideration of VCH accepting my application for membership and permitting my use of the facilities, service and activities offered by the VGH Cycling Centre, I hereby agree as followed:
  14. I have familiarized myself with the VGH Cycling Centre facilities/equipment and House Rules. I understand my use is self-directed and unsupervised. I understand that the facilities and equipment are provided on an as-is basis and assume full responsibility for injury or damage resulting from my use of the VGH Cycling Centre.
  15. I hereby release, waive and forever discharge VCH and its respective employees, agents and representatives of and from all claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions and causes of action, in respect to death, injury, loss or damage to my person or property, however caused, arising or to arise by reason of my use of the VGH Cycling Centre. I further agree to hold harmless and indemnify the VCH and its employees, agents, and representatives from and against any and all claims arising from, or in any way connected with my use of, the VGH Cycling Centre.
  16. This Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns and representatives in the event of my death or incapacity.
