Porter Square Proposed Parking Changes

In order to install separated bike lanes, parking will be removed on the section of Mass Avenue between Beech Street and Roseland Street. Short term loading space will remain on the north side of the street between Davenport and Allen Street.

We are proposing changes to side streets to mitigate the impacts of the parking removal on Mass Ave. Please provide your feedback on the proposed changes listed below.

Mt Vernon St: Eight (8) metered parking spaces are proposed on Mt Vernon St to provide parking for customers of businesses on the south side of Porter Square. Please provide us with your feedback.

Upland Rd: We are proposing to relocate the valet parking for Hotel 1868 to Upland Rd. We are also allowing loading in the right-hand travel lane leaving Upland Rd between 7 am and 3 pm. Please provide us with your feedback.

Davenport St: The recent conversion of Davenport St to one-way allows us to add in parking. Two metered spaces are proposed. Please provide us with your feedback.
