The 9th Rotary Club of Phoenixville Spelling Bee will be held on Saturday, February 10 at Barkley Elementary School, 320 Second Avenue, Phoenixville.

Rotary International is a not-for-profit corporation, whose main objective is service - in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. The Rotary Club of Phoenixville focuses on developing service projects to support the local community and educational initiatives for the local youth. All proceeds raised from this event are donated back to the Phoenixville area community. In the first eight years of the spelling bee, over $77,000 has been raised.

Schedule:

        Division I        1st Graders                  9:00 to 10:30 AM

        Division II       2nd Graders               10:30 AM to Noon

        Division III      3rd Graders                Noon to 1:30 PM

        Division IV      CLOSED    1:30 to 3:00 PM

Awards will be presented immediately after the completion of each division. First-place finishers will receive a $50 gift card to Reads and Company Bookshop and a trophy; 2nd and 3rd place finishers will receive a trophy. All spellers will receive a Certificate of Participation.
