You should use this form when applying for the Regional and International Conflict specialization or any of the Environmental Conflict (water, land use and climate change) specializations. You are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to, in consultation with your advisor, select courses that offer a breadth or depth in abstract and contextualized theory, knowledge, skills, and perspectives appropriate for advancing your academic and career goals.

Environmental Conflict Specializations

Remember, you must: 1. complete a minimum of 16 credits from the approved list of courses and, 2. take a minimum of 8 credits from the Subject Matter Expertise Area (climate change, water or land use) for your choosing.

Regional and International Conflict Specialization

In this section you'll list the courses you're planning to take to satisfy the specialization requirements. Remember, you must 1. complete a minimum of 16 credits from the approved list of courses; 2. take courses from at least two categories (cultural competence, participatory processes, regional knowledge, geopolitical context and/or legal systems) and 3.you must take courses from at least two departments (Anthropology, Conflict & Dispute Resolution (CRES), Global Studies, Political Science, Geography and/or Law).
